Electrical Maintenance Technician (I) Job in Nigeria
Key Functions
Field electrical maintenance work and electrical isolation (Lock out Tag out: Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)) for lighting, air conditioning, and motor maintenance are supported.
Plan and carry out scheduled preventive and breakdown repair procedures in order to minimize production impact and maximize operational availability. Reports to a supervisor in most cases.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Contractors for lighting, air conditioning, and motor maintenance must be verified and issued an electrical work permit.
- Supervise contractors to ensure their safety. Intervene immediately when unsafe acts occur.
- Participate in the review of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) with contractors.
- Begin working on time. Resolve the issue and notify the First Line Supervisor (FLS) immediately if it remains unresolved.
- Closely monitor contractor quality to ensure that Maintenance Procedures and Practices (MPP) are followed and that rework is avoided.
- Obtain FLS approval before making any changes.
- Contractors’ work must be verified and accepted.
- Provide FLS and planner with daily progress updates.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a job directly related to this one, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- If available, discipline-specific certification(s) or comparable professional experience
- Effective communication skills; ability to convey field circumstances clearly and concisely and identify corrective actions
- Team Player; demonstrates good teamwork when working with others over whom the person has no direct responsibility, as well as a willingness to assist others.
- Adaptability to tight deadlines, huge workloads, and frequent shifts in priorities
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office software suite
